Recovery happens inside a community.
The Creative Arts Community Center is a project of The Blackburn Foundation. It is a place where people make things together: lessons, classes, workshops, performances and open studio time.
All programming is free, inclusive and low-barrier. Cost, background and experience never stand in the way of taking part. There is no audition and nothing to prove.
We built it for people navigating addiction and recovery, and for the neighborhood around us. Both, in the same room, on purpose. Recovery does not happen apart from a community. It happens inside one.
Why creative work matters in recovery, with the research behind it: how creative arts can support recovery.
